Mosaic Minds Neurodivergent Center, Inc.

Expanding Access, Strengthening Families, and Building Inclusive Communities
At Mosaic Minds Center, we believe every neurodivergent individual deserves access to compassionate, high-quality, neurodiversity-affirming support regardless of financial circumstances or geographic barriers. Families should never have to choose between obtaining essential supports and maintaining financial stability.
Mosaic Minds Neurodivergent Center, Inc. was established as a separate nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing barriers to care and expanding equitable access to resources for neurodivergent children, teens, adults, and families throughout Eastern North Carolina and surrounding communities.

Through scholarships, grants, advocacy, caregiver education, community partnerships, and access-focused initiatives, the organization works to connect families with meaningful supports that promote communication, emotional well-being, sensory regulation, independence, and overall quality of life.

Our Mission

The mission of Mosaic Minds Neurodivergent Center, Inc. is to bridge gaps in access to neurodiversity-affirming services, supports, and opportunities for individuals and families across underserved and rural communities. We are dedicated to creating inclusive, empowering environments that recognize and celebrate the strengths, dignity, and individuality of neurodivergent individuals while reducing financial, educational, geographic, and systemic barriers to meaningful support across the lifespan.

Our Purpose

Mosaic Minds Neurodivergent Center, Inc. exists to help families access supportive services, resources, and opportunities that may otherwise be financially out of reach. The nonprofit focuses on scholarships, family support, education, advocacy, and community-based access initiatives rather than direct clinical or therapeutic service delivery.

Scholarship assistance may help families access supports and resources such as:

  • Occupational therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Speech-language therapy
  • Sensory-based supports and multisensory experiences
  • Developmental and educational resources
  • Parent and caregiver education
  • Social-emotional and communication supports
  • Executive functioning and self-regulation supports
  • Advocacy and educational consultation resources
  • Community-based enrichment opportunities

Scholarship awards are made independently and are never contingent upon the use of any
specific provider, program, or organization.

Why This Work Matters

Families across Washington and throughout Eastern North Carolina often encounter significant barriers when seeking specialized supports for neurodivergent individuals. These challenges may include long waitlists, limited local providers, financial hardship, transportation difficulties, and limited access to sensory-based or neurodiversity-affirming resources.

For many families, obtaining appropriate support requires traveling long distances or delaying services entirely due to cost and availability

How the Scholarship Process Works

When scholarship opportunities are available, families may complete an inquiry or interest form to begin the review process.

The process may include:
  • Initial inquiry or interest form submission
  • Review of eligibility and demonstrated need
  • Consideration of available funding
  • Notification regarding award status
  • Guidance regarding next steps and available resources

How the Nonprofit Is Funded

Mosaic Minds Neurodivergent Center, Inc. is supported through:

  • Local, state, and national grants
  • Individual donations and community contributions
  • Corporate sponsorships and philanthropic partnerships

At Mosaic Minds Center For Autism & Neurodivergent Learning

Mosaic Minds Center For Autism & Neurodivergent Learning Isn’t. Just a center. It’s a catalyst. For every child who was told to “sit still,” we offer space to move. For every parent who left an IEP meeting feeling unheard, we offer understanding. Here, neurodivergent learners aren’t managed. They’re mentored. Through inclusive programming, multisensory therapy, and real-world life skills coaching, we don’t ask kids to mask who they are. We help them become who they’re meant to be. Welcome to Mosaic Minds Center For Autism & Neurodivergent Learning.
